California based filmmaker, Army AirCAV combat veteran.Child labor laws don’t apply if your parents own a company, so at 14, I was lucky enough to be working as a laborer for my father's company Concrete Installations inc. I really appreciated the opportunity to use my hands to learn how the world worked and how to lay a solid foundation. I learned to drive dump trucks and tractors on the job before I got my license. Working with my dad I got to be around racecars and I spent the weekends of my junior year of highschool building a house in the mountains, it took a little over a year but it was worth every hour spent. After graduation, I wanted to travel the world, figure out who I wanted to be and that led me to becoming an attack helicopter mechanic for the US Army for 6 years. I trained for two years in the states before moving to Germany and deploying to both Iraq in 03 and Afghanistan in 05. List of certificates and awards available upon request. When I wasn’t working, I enjoyed traveling, photography and acting on stage in community theater. After six years in the Army I moved to southern California to learn how to make movies. I’ve spent the following 18 years working my way up from extra and intern to cinematographer and editor, and spent the last 10 years producing and directing independent projects for Mechanical Dragons LLC. I am a well rounded filmmaker with over 100 IMDb credits in 20+ positions, I’ve shot over 200 sit-down interviews, and edited dozens of short documentary projects. During the 2020 pandemic, I sought to continue my education by studying emerging media at California State University Northridge. During my time working a CSUN, I have gained experience with 360 video, augmented reality, 3D modeling/animation, video game engines and interactive media. I was trained as an LED video wall lab tech for the film and television department and led the virtual production workshops that teach students how to use the new technology while we wait for actual curriculum to be approved and an instructor hired. I have reached the stage of my career where I want to focus more on directing stories that come from the heart and inspire new generation to solve the problems of tomorrow.
