I have dedicated 25 years to helping evaluate and treat children, teens and adults with Aspergers Syndrome, NLD, social disorders and anxiety. I’m a a prolific writer as well as a therapist and consultant to schools and attorneys. My articles And blog have been in professional journals and newspapers, as well as on platforms for parents, ASD individuals and professionals.I've been appointed by the CT State Legislature to the newly formed Autism Spectrum Disorder Advisory Council as one of two clinicians working directly with individuals with ASD to be included. My advocacy for neurodiverse individuals and those with LD or special needs is extremely meaningful to me.I developed techniques to teach social understanding to children through adults, and to teach families how to model and support these skills. I offer evidence-based anxiety and stress reduction techniques for adults or children using meditation and CBT. With my background in neuropsychological evaluation and therapy, I understand the unique social, developmental and conceptual needs of my clients. I help families, schools, partners understand the perspectives of neurodiverse individuals, and help these individuals chose skills to navigate the demands of relationships and the social world. Goals: increase my writing, speaking and consulting opportunities, to stay informed learn about resources and network with others re practice, consulting and writing.
