Onderwijs geven aan jongeren die studeren om doktersassistent te worden. Ik geef medische basisvakken als anatomie, fysiologie, pathologie en farmacologie. Naast gericht aan het examen werken zie ik graag dat studenten zich ontwikkelen tot een gezonde spil in de eerstelijnsgezondheidszorg. Daarnaast houd ik me bezig met onderwijsbeleid. Er zijn zoveel analogieën tussen de zorg en het onderwijs. Als oudgediende beleidsonderzoeker denk ik daar ook graag over mee in diverse commissies en platforms.

Ik ben gecertificeerd consultant bij MY-organization. Dit is een van de tools die mensen kunnen gebruiken om hun structuren en verlangens in beeld te brengen. Ik werk het liefst met kwetsbare mensen, en zijn we dat allemaal niet wel eens? Iedereen kan deze test invullen voor zichzelf en voor een bepaalde situatie. Bijvoorbeeld het werk; wat verwacht mijn werk van mij? In plaats van werk kan ook iets ander ingevuld worden. Bijvoorbeeld een project een functie, een collega, een taak et cetera.Dit geeft direct inzicht in de vaardigheden, motivatie en psyche van van mensen. Een MY-consultant kan op basis van deze uitslagen diepgaande inzichten delen tijdens het feedbackgesprek.Daarna kan al dan niet behoefte zijn aan coaching. Dit staat hier los van. Mensen in een overgangsfase geef ik graag aandacht. Op een keerpunt moeten we terug naar onze kern; wat wilde ik ook alweer? Wat is voor mij belangrijk? Soms een emotioneel knooppunt, maar tegelijk een gedwongen her(r)ijking van je leven. Ik zie vaak dat mensen beter te voorschijn komen uit een crisis, daar help ik graag bij mee.

Developing an optimal combination of quantitative and qualitative research to improve quality of care. I've interviewed stakeholders in the pharmaceutical landscape, policymakers and healthcare professionals about defining quality of care. I started this quest to move the polarising debates that often surround quality assessments in healthcare towards a dialogue. After all, that would benefit patients and society a lot more than some of the time and money-consuming health indicators (benchmarks, lists) we work with now.

I give them insight into the processes that result in suboptimal care and provide them with tools to improve care. I wrote a thesis on the use of reimbursement data to improve QoP. I've worked with most parties involved in the pharma-landscape: administration, doctors, health insurance companies, lobbyists, patients, pharmacists, policymakers, scientists and universities. My passion is to give insight into the current processes in healthcare and to create tools to facilitate and communicate changes needed to improve healthcare policies and drug use.I like to analyse how prescribing aligns with guidelines and I’m interested in situations with COI. My specialty is to create a dialogue on QoP and all its aspects.
