As the Nevada Prep Lead Math teacher it is my responsibility to assign and follow up with tasks such as grading, parent communication, accommodation support with special education, and operational support of ordering material. It is also my duty to ensure that the entire math department is up to date with any and all updates to the curriculum that we use, or any new platform that we are planning to enroll in. I also serve as the Choral and Performing Arts Director. I was able to establish the Nevada Prep Choir and Acapella group from 2018-2020 up until the COVID-19 pandemic did not allow for students to engage in music. Nevada Prep Charter School serves grades 3-8 and 100% of scholars qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch. In the inception of the school I served on the math team as the Founding Math Teacher and served as lead core math teacher for both of the schools new grade levels (4th and 7th grade) in 2019-20; achieved strong academic results on NWEA MAP assessments and transitioned to a strong live online delivery model in March 2020 in response to COVID-19 (content at nvprep.org/7math).
