MedXMentor was launched on the 25th, February 2022, a program under MEDXGUIDE Limited Company. The pioneers are a group of medical students from Mbarara University of Science and Technology having identified the need for student mentorship following the survey they conducted. We had responses from 283 students were about mentorship, and 100% agreed that mentorship is a very important aspect in the life of a student, however, only 15% were actually having mentors. This gave us mission of providing a platform for mentor-mentee engagement; where motivations, experiences and life lessons learned are shared thus helping build knowledge, skills and confidence as strong pillars for academic and career. We envision MedXMentor to be the hub of excellence in health professional mentorship. The idea was bought by so many partners; with Seed Global Health Uganda being one partner that has made sure that idea is advanced. They financed the entire process; registration, and launch as well.
