About Mee Moua
For the last five years, as the President and Executive Director of a national civil rights organization based in Washington, DC, I have increased the visibility and participation of Asian Americans to be in solidarity with other civil rights and social justice advocates in the fight for a more equitable society for all. Prior to working in Washington, DC, I was a three-term State Senator in Minnesota and chaired the Senate Judiciary Committee for four years. Before public office, I was an attorney in private practice. I am earnest about public life and believe that we need good people with good intentions and a desire to fulfill their core responsibilities of standing up for the people they represent and the institutions that they serve. My best vacation is spending time with my friends and families, camping, fishing and sharing food and laughter.
