Dr. Jamie Meehan, Collaboration Manager at the new state-of-the-art Digital Manufacturing Ireland (DMI) organisation www.dmireland.org fosters strong collaboration among various stakeholders, including industry partners, RPOs, government agencies, and other relevant organisations. The aim is to accelerate the digital and green transformation of Irish-based advanced manufacturing. He was previously the Director and Cluster Manager of IDEAM which has a growing SME membership of 150+ advanced manufacturing SMEs. IDEAM (Irish Digital Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing) Cluster www.ideam.ie is an innovative national industry cluster located in the heart of the Mid-West region supporting businesses to collaborate, innovate and grow. IDEAM assists manufacturing SMEs in digital transformation with the core aim to unlock new opportunities for industry. Jamie was a lead lecturer and incubator/accelerator leader for 6+ years igniting entrepreneurship, digital transformation and digital marketing solutions for industry. He has worked closely with triple-helix organisations for 13+ years and is an Industry4.0 Certified Trainer: Smart Manufacturing for Industry as part of the EU Atlantic Area IN4.0 project supporting over 1,000 EU SMEs. Jamie forms part of the first-ever Clusters of Change EU Cluster Acceleration Programme (theCAP), whilst also delivering the Master Class for Management of Clusters at the University of Strasbourg, France. He has also inaugurated the first PhD study on the impact of the IDEAM Cluster on Entrepreneurship and Economic Growth Activity. He developed many innovation workshops, the aim of which was to guide industry on digital transformation, building a competitive organisation and future-proofing strategic initiatives using the bottom-up collaborative approach. Jamie holds a Bachelor´s Degree in Marketing and Management (level 8), a Masters by Research (MBS) in Clusters and Entrepreneurship (level 9), an Excellence Award in Teaching and Education (level 9) and a PhD in the area of Clusters and Regional Development (level 10). He is the author of the book entitled - “Convergence Influence on Cluster-Based Economic Growth in Regions. Business Clusters: An International Perspective (2021)”. He has led and managed various regional, national and international successfully funded projects namely, Cluster Synergy, Interreg Europe, Erasmus+, COSME, Interreg Atlantic Area, Horizon2020 and HorizonEU to the value of over €16,891,595.
