I work with the business to embed effective risk management and business continuity practices into Land Information New Zealand’s (LINZ) systems, processes, planning and operations that will increase the likelihood of successful delivery of LINZ priorities and long term strategic goals.I provide direction and support around the development and implementation of risk management and business continuity activities. Additionally I support LINZ managers in ensuring:- risk management is used effectively to support business planning and delivery- managers have appropriate levels of planning and preparedness to manage disruptive events (business continuous activities). Risk Management Accountabilities- Contribution and attendance at the risk and assurance committee (an active member of the committee)- Communicating a clear vision of how effective risk management,- Designing, implementing and maintaining best practice risk management frameworks up to date with current Risk Management standards and thinking, and facilitating their use, - Providing risk management leadership and advice to the Chief Executive and the Risk and Assurance Committee, - Leading discussion and enabling identification and treatments of Strategic Risks for the Senior Leadership TeamManaging Disruption Planning (Business Continuity) Accountabilities- Design, development and implementation of BCP across the organisation. - Communicating a clear vision of how the key elements for managing disruption- Ensuring LINZ disruption planning and preparedness activities are up to date with current standards- Providing managing disruption leadership and advice to the Chief Executive and the Risk and Assurance Committee, - Managing Business Continuity Planning (BCP)

The Commercial Fuels Business Manager role is a specialist Business Manager role responsible for the safe, efficient and profitable sales of fuel and associated services to (Business Sector) B2B customers.Responsible for managing a select portfolio of individual B2B customers, with a strong emphasis on input into strategy and marketing to this customer set. The role included developing and maintaining close relationships and being recognised as the COE for this industry sector. As well as leveraging these relationships to deliver value and growth for BP Oil New Zealand Ltd.Key Accountabilities- Working closely with Senior Management on sales strategies- Sector research and setting up competitive profiles for the B2B Fuels sector- Implementation of strategy for sector including pricing, direct marketing and communication programmes to maximize gross margin and minimize direct costs. - Key relationship management:- Management of a portfolio of Large accounts within lower North Island region- Problem resolution for sector- Seeking out business development and marketing opportunities within sector and bringing them to life.- Business planning and developing and maintaining proposal templates for sector

The primary purpose of the role was to independently review the internal controls and processes in place across the business to determine if those controls and processes are appropriate and being effectively and consistently applied. Where gaps or weaknesses were identified I worked with the business to identify steps to remediate gaps and improve areas of weakness.The role is also required me to undertake investigations into control breakdowns from time to time and to provide input to projects in the assessment or development of controls and processes.Whilst in this role I ran and was a part of a number of internal remediation and special projects including; AA Smart Fuel initiative launch- Creating process documentaiton for back end system implementation of AA Smart fuel for BP Oil New Zealand LtdGlobal SAP deployment - Post Implementation review of the order to cash cycle, and stock management processes. This project included; - Hiring/Training/Managing 15 employees- The collection very high value aged debtors by the project team- Post implementation training and BAU transistion for SAP order to cash and stock management- Continuous improvement initiatives to pull back resourcing levels. Payroll project - Creating a reconcilation process to ensure alignment of processes with legislation - Knowledge transfer of internal processes including control implementation- Financial modelling with payroll related scenarios
