-- Created Marriott's Catering by Design, the off-premise catering and destination management division of the Company. Pioneered and implemented corporate marketing concepts, established event locations while becoming a preferred supplier with venues, developed numerous accounts and managed all operational aspects of the business.-- Managed various size teams of employees and suppliers while achieving high standards of service, putting client and guest needs first. Branded a “we make it happen” approach to meeting and event hospitality. Measured and evaluated performance, key areas of delivery and overall customer satisfaction. -- Created marketing plans, forecasts and annual budgets. Conducted management and performance appraisals of staff. Met routinely with other department heads to share ideas, solicit feedback and build camaraderie. Infused company philosophies into work product while maintaining focus and momentum. Presented core information to management teams using Flash MX, Power Point, MPEG Video, Microsoft Word and Excel. -- Executed company policy when conducting training and performance appraisals of staff. Attended numerous human resource and interpersonal training workshops provided by Disney, Marriott and Hilton. Received instruction and training on proper methods of coaching & counseling, engendering teamwork, interviewing, hiring and terminating skills. Other continuing education classes include: state and regulatory compliance, leadership, communication strategies, time management, profitability and goal setting.

Project Development and creative delivery of Public and Privately supported events, in order to facilitate Disney's endeavor to build an Oceanside Theme Park in Long Beach, CA. This project was slated to surround the Queen Mary Entertainment Complex. The decision was later made to develop "California Adventure", Disney's Theme park located adjacent to Disneyland instead.Major take-aways included developing strength in public relations; shaping and leveraging public opinion while studying and applying Disney's public persona and branding techniques.
