1. In charge of chlor-alkali manufacturing plant. • Responsible for the plant operation from early stage of raw salt conversion into brine until the production of Caustic Soda, Liquid Chlorine, Acid Hydrochloric and also Sodium Hypochlorite. • There are several stages involve which are brine purification unit, electrolysis unit, caustic handling unit, chlorine handling unit, brine dechlorination unit and also hydrogen handling unit. • Responsible for the several sub-plants operation which are HCl sysnthesis unit, 50% caustic evaporation unit, and Sodium Hypochlorite unit. • Regulate parameters and communicate with plant operators in order to meet all products specification.2. Responsible to manage the operation of utilities system such as Steam Generation, Cooling Water System, Chilled Water System, Air Compression System.3. Responsible to control the Effluent System.4. Communicate with electrical person in-charge and regulate the plant load in order to optimize the electricity usage based on maximum demand of the power consumption.5. Communicate with Logistic Department and do the production planning in order to meet the customer’s demand.6. Responsible in providing daily production report and also any incident report.7. Responsible as a person in charge in organizing the shut-down list and also tool box meeting. 8. Collaborate with maintenance department to coordinated maintenance work and also inspected the repaired equipment.

I undergo an 8 months industrial internship in Petronas CARIGALI Sdn Bhd (PCSB), KLCC under Sumandak/Kinabalu Project. I have been exposed to real working life in Oil and Gas business especially in term on how client (Petronas), consultant and contractor play their role in this industry. I got a very valuable experience on how Petronas’s engineers managed to develop and design the separation process at topside of the offshore platform even with limited space provided. I was also being exposed to several process engineers’ jobs like designing the PFD, doing the line list and also doing the line design review (LDR).Task Performed : 1. Involve with designing the process above KNPG-B platform. 2. Draw PFD and involve with P&ID study of the topside process of KNPG-B. 3. Study on Offshore Production System, Do the Produce Water Treatment System project. 4. Check the Line List of KNPG-B, and do the Line Design Review (LDR). 5. Study about KNPG-B HPHT development project (1st in South East Asia).
