I have always loved creating, whether that's writing a story or baking a beautiful loaf of bread. My work at PDX Parent gives me the opportunity to use that creativity in myriad ways. One day I am reviewing a local theater production, the next I'm shooting and editing a video of a waterfall hike for our social media accounts. I bring enthusiasm to everything I do, and I'm a quick study. This job utilizes my strong organizational strengths and attention to detail, as I manage content on our popular website and Instagram, Facebook and TikTok accounts. I also love data, and I'm an avid checker of analytics. With over 150,000 pageviews monthly (and growing), and a strong following on social media, I connect with a significant number Portland families every day. Helping them find their fun and make forever memories with their children makes this work meaningful. (And it's a blast, too.)As a freelance writer, I never miss a deadline, and I usually submit assignments early. I am a breeze to work with, always happy to make changes or adjust pitches. I've written for local publications and national brands, including Kitchn and Apartment Therapy, and I'm always looking for new opportunities to tell a story.
