I am currently involved in the preparation of various General Ledger account reconciliations including researching and communicating proposed solutions to variances. I contribute to the monthly closing through the preparation of journal entries and maintaining various tracking schedules that relate to Receivables.

•Work with both internal and external auditors in the course of various audits including but not limited to Financial Statement audits, but also SAS 70 audits and Sarbanes Oxley audits.•Approve $15 - $20 Million in Publisher payments, monthly.•Manage 8 direct reports, including one supervisor and 7 clerical staff, over time reduced to 4 clerical staff.•Work with Senior Management in resolving payment disputes.•Aided Sales and Marketing executives with suggestions for contract negotiations that were deemed equitable to both Comag and potential clients. •Set up and monitored client contracts to assure that we were in compliance with all terms and conditions•Prepared Status of Account Analysis for publishers uncertain about their financial status.•Closely monitored payout process of terminating accounts to insure that accounts were not overpaid during the termination process, and thereby creating Uncollectable Receivables for Comag.•Maintained Accounts Payable Supplier files (including setting up banking information for ACH Direct Deposit)•Ran daily check runs on an as needed basis (when primary AP clerk was unavailable)•Performed Accounts Payable month end closing and reconciliations.•Worked with IT Staff on system customizations and testing of system enhancements.

Charlotte, North Carolina Area

•Manage a staff of fifteen, including two supervisors and 13 staff accountants. Duties included hiring, training, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as necessary Also started and refined a workpaper format used by accountants in the preparation of monthly close, thereby providing substantiation for monthly accruals.•Review and distribution of monthly financial statements for the stevedoring operations of 13 cargo terminals, including preparation of statistical information for both domestic and international management.
