With a robust base of varied experience in education, supervision, mentoring, and marketing, I am now embarking on an exciting project promoting health and wellbeing.I have just completed a Graduate Certificate in Counselling which has provided me with skills to support people just like myself who want to embrace a lifestyle change but are experiencing mental, financial or physical barriers to success. Through my own struggles and success I have discovered how this is an incredibly individual challenge for many. With a barrage of conflicting information from everyone trying to make a buck, I want to challenge how we talk about weight and reframe and empower people to make positive changes for themselves and those around them. We all know how to be healthy and many of us want to change but yet....we don't. I am developing a program to support people to discover why they haven't succeeded, remove unhelpful emotions such as guilt or shame from the equation, and be happy, healthy, and comfortable in their own skin.
