I am an aspiring accounting and taxation professional currently undertaking the Level 7 ACA qualification as part of a three-year rotational program. This experience provides me with a broad understanding of accounting, taxation, and financial processes, helping me develop both technical expertise and adaptability.Currently in my second placement, I have gained valuable exposure to: • Taxation and Compliance: Applying ACA principles to real-world challenges, ensuring accuracy and regulatory adherence. • Financial Reporting: Assisting with the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reconciliations. • Cross-Functional Skills: Adapting to new roles annually, collaborating with teams, and contributing to key projects under tight deadlines.Balancing professional rotations with rigorous ACA studies has allowed me to develop strong analytical, time-management, and problem-solving skills.

As a supervisor, I led a team of servers, maintaining a strong rapport to ensure smooth daily operations. My role involved delegating tasks, managing the bar, serving customers, and efficiently handling customer complaints.I also regularly acted as the hostess, welcoming and seating guests, managing reservations through ResDiary, reorganising bookings, and handling waiting lists during peak periods, such as summer holidays and half-terms, in a high-paced, high-pressure environment.Key responsibilities included: • Staff Management: Delegated roles, coordinated deep cleaning, and oversaw end-of-day duties to ensure timely closeouts. • Financial Duties: Cashed up, balanced the float, recorded payments on the Tevalis till system, and fairly distributed tips among staff. • Customer Service: Ensured exceptional guest experiences while maintaining efficiency during busy periods.This role allowed me to develop the ability to thrive under pressure, manage stress, and deliver results in a popular, fast-paced hospitality setting.

Summer intern supporting an experienced team and working 1 on 1 with a recent graduate to gain relevant and valuable financial skills. I worked on my own project analysing data of personal lines (including home, motor and travel). I have also completed a research project looking at the impact of the shortage of semiconductor chips on the increased demand for used cars and how this has effected volume of claims and average price of claims. Displaying this information in a detailed powerpoint with easy to read summaries illustrates my ability to target the important information and compose an overview which is less time-consuming to read. These projects will be continue to be used by staff even after completing the internship.

Server managing my own section of the restaurant with 20-30 guests each weekend. I look after the same guests for the entire weekend- working split shifts: breakfast and supper. Service involves using a handheld ordering system for each table, whereby, I must collect starters, mains, and desserts for all of my guests. During the weekend, I speak to my guests, making an effort to build up a trusting relationship. Many of these guests are regulars; it is vital that we maintain our good reputation and relationship with them. Sometimes on shift, I do not have my own section of the restaurant; I assist other staff members who have large parties in their section of the restaurant. Therefore, I help across the whole restaurant, which has a capacity of over 400 covers.
