We're a small home-grown business, grown out of a tiny kitchen in a town called Bolton, just outside of Manchester. Although we're still a growing business we appreciate all the support we get from both, our new customers and our loyal ones. We supply specialty homemade cakes, with the option of fondant or buttercream and if you're really feeling fancy, we can do both. Alongside cakes, we offer cupcakes. A wide selection, too! From having a plain cupcake with icing on the top to having a cupcake with a creamy center and if you're feeling for something a little more exotic, we offer boozy cupcakes too! Although we make cakes, our main focus is on homemade chocolates and we are constantly trying new recipes and flavour combinations (keep your eyes peeled), but if you really want to try our chocolates but aren't sure which to go for, or what flavour combination you'd like - I'd recommend our lemon bon bons because they " entertain the palette wonderfully and once you eat one it's hard to stop because "just one more" becomes the whole box".

My duties include:• Answering the phones in a timely and polite manner, forwarding calls to the relevant people. • Greeting clients and internal staff and directing them as appropriate• Typing reports, memos, letters and quotes for the branch Contract Managers (as and when required)• Maintaining an adequate supply and stock of stationery• Opening incoming post• Franking outgoing post• Ensuring reception area is kept neat and tidy• Making tea and coffee for guests • Control of meeting room diary• Photocopying and filing (as and when required)• Arranging meeting rooms/buffets• Assisting in the car park management (advising people if there is a requirement for them to move their car).• Ad hoc duties

• Scanning, filing, uploading and remaining paperwork for different contracts. • Planning in maintenance work for a vast number of different clients. • Booking in engineers with site, arranging parking access and permits (providing RAMS when asked)• Allocating jobs to engineers, chasing for updates, daily, weekly and monthly. • Dealing with numerous clients both relevant to my own allocated contracts and redirecting them if needed.

• Serving customers in a polite and professional manner, answering phone calls and providing the relevant information required whilst also dealing with any complaints in a professional manner and escalating to manager if need be. • Replenishing and restocking displays and under-counter trays, always ensuring stock was rotated and displayed correctly according to guidelines. • Helping train new team members on the computers, jewellery specifications and visual expectations. • Demonstrated resilience and ability to upsell products, consistently meeting KPIs set for adding more value to sales.• Significantly improved negotiation skills, regularly converting customers from point of enquiry to sale through using numerous open questions and open body language. • Following set guidelines to present the jewellery in certain ways, allowing me to use my initiative and creative sprit to ensure the shop was always presentable and ready for new launches.

Ensuring the store is open and closed on time. Making sure the shop itself is tidy and presentable as well as driving sales and encouraging other members of staff to do the same. Dealing with difficult customer who demand returns, refunds or exchanges. Marking down products, repricing them if need be. Ensuring that the correct promotions are running at the right time. Making sure that all the banking is done correctly and efficiently and everything is logged and correctly done.

I was hired as a Christmas Temp and offered a permanent position on Christmas Eve. Whilst being a sales assistant it was my job to:1. Serving and advising customers2. Taking payment3. Helping customers to find the goods they want4. Giving information on products and prices5. Stacking shelves and merchandising tables to display goods in an attractive way6. Arranging window displays7. Promoting special offers or store cardsI was always complimented on my customer service skills and pride myself on it today. I carry a lot of these skills with me today, as a supervisor at The Works.
