From a young age I loved both problem-solving and science. I loved finding out about how the world worked around me, but I liked to do it in an engaging, hand-on, innovative way. When I found out in high school that there was a career where I could do all of this I knew that engineering was a good fit for me. I am now finishing the final year of my degree, and I am excited to get into the industry and use the skills I've been taught. Throughout my degree my passion for engineering has only grown - the sense of satisfaction I have had at the end of a project, looking back on my work, is an incredibly rewarding feeling. My degree has instilled me with a range of skills - both technical and interpersonal. I am proficient in multiple engineering softwares, as seen below, and enjoy using them as tools to make a job. However, the lessons taught to me through my degree do not end at the technical end of the spectrum. I am hardworking and driven, willing to put my heart and soul into projects to produce an outcome I am satisfied with. Additionally, I enjoy working with teams and have excellent communication skills. This has translated into a high writing ability - one that I have prided myself on for a long time. I've also found that my ability to work under a deadline has improved - I can keep a cool head when things are going wrong and understand that life throws us plenty of hurdles - sometimes you just need to get the job done.I have been lucky enough to work with a diverse range of people to produce a diverse range of projects.
