Student Researcher With The Institute Of Opthalmology At Ucl And The University Of Cambridge
CurrentI feel really honoured to have the opportunity to be able to work with Dr Omar Mahroo and his team at Moorefields and St Thomases hospital over the last year during my 3rd year Research project. My 3rd year research project, looks into the contribution of rod photoreceptors in full field ERG’s, with a focus on Vitamin A deficiency under the supervision of Dr Omar Mahroo and his team. Throughout this project I learned gained a number of skills including how to conduct a full field ERG on a patient, competency in Origin lab software, how to create and conduct new experimental protocol to isolate the function of a particular cell in the phototransduction pathway. I was lucky enough to also be able to attend the 45th annual Eyehope conference. Through my research I have had the opportunity to present my work at: 2020 Future Physiology Conference (https://my.ltb.io/#/showcase/the-physiological-society)Cambridge BioSoc student led Talks ISCEV 2020 Conference - Winner of the EBERHARD DODT MEMORIAL AWARD 2020
