I supported Year 12 students with statements for speech, language and communication needs, helping them to access the curriculum of their chosen courses at an external college of further education. I collaborated with teachers, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and care workers to enable students to achieve their targets; I participated in multi-disciplinary target-setting meetings and used my knowledge and skills as a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to make suggestions to other professionals regarding students' support and development. My role required me to write reports for and attend meetings with other professionals and parents, including annual reviews. Observation of students in the college classes enabled me to report back to the multi-disciplinary team at Moor House College to ensure students received appropriate support for any difficulties they experienced.

I supported children with special needs in the classroom, helping them to access the curriculum. I collaborated with teachers, other LSAs and the Senco as required to facilitate student learning and development. I integrated students' IEP targets into support given. I contributed to reports prepared for,and attended, annual reviews.
