I'm an international trade and human rights lawyer, teacher and advocate. I have helped to found, govern and strengthen multi stakeholder initiatives to identify and address human, labor and environmental risk in global supply chains ( Fair Labor Association, Global Network Initiative, Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights, International Code of Conduct for Private Security Providers Association, International Cocoa Initiative). I have shaped US federal and state anti-trafficking legislation and federal industry guidelines to eliminate child and forced labor in imported agricultural products, as well as practice guidance for advocates to combat forced labor in supply chains. I've collaborated with advocates and academics to identify and advocate for strengthened government procurement implementation and tools to promote supplier respect for human and labor rights. I have had extensive experience in forming and leading coalitions, organizing conferences and convenings to identify and advance policy solutions and progress, and have served as facilitator, chair, and speaker at numerous conferences and workshops.
