I also learned how to effectively take and receive report from nurses and how to work and communicate with other healthcare professionals such as PCTs, UAs, nurse managers, doctors, etc. For my capstone project I did a presentation on the importance of hand hygiene in preventing the spread of hospital acquired illnesses. I demonstrated proper hand hygiene technique and educated the unit on the importance of hand hygiene compliance.
