Still within the Powertrain finance function, I have been working within the collaboration projects as a finance analyst. This unique role has involved engine programmes collaborated with external partners. Whilst my core responsibility has been to track and report finances, this business partner focused role requires complex cross functional involvement, from contract formation & negotiation plan progression.Key responsibilities:- Supporting purchasing, legal & programme teams with partner contract negotiations- Managing £50m engine programme finances independently, reporting to LL6 & LL5 level- Telling the ‘finance story’ in a clear, concise format relevant to the customer- Communicating finance status weekly/monthly/ quarterly to key stakeholders- Supporting programme gateway submissions & actions- Actual & forecast spending tracking

As a Powertrain finance analyst I managed the financial costs of the 6 and 8 cylinder engines within product development; managing budget financials in addition to developing, maintaining and reporting the engine bill of materials.A significant part of this role is business partnering. I worked closely with engineers, buyers and the programme teams to challenge parts and investment costs whilst developing strong relationships. 'Telling the finance story' is a big part of the role, ensuring key stakeholders are informed & up to date with the latest finance information, in an easy to follow, condensed & 'bottom line' format.Key responsibilities:- Maintaining and reporting part and investment costs- Assisting engineers in organising financial data on PACN’s and financially approving these- Pushing any financial changes through the JLR systems via WERS concern approvals- Prototype cost approval and monitoring- Planning and tracking tooling cash forecasts- Supporting deep dive cost events- Tracking performance versus target by COC and reporting this to senior management- Support programme gateway submissions and actions- Programme cost analysis on a fiscal year and lifetime basis- Weekly/ monthly & quarterly reporting to key stakeholders

I worked within the high demand, busy and ever changing communications department for Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, one of the largest, most specialised hospitals in Europe and home of the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine for military personnel. Here I worked in a team whom were all responsible for the communications from the hospital to the media and public & Providing the Head of Communication and Engagement with feedback on communications issues .Key responsibilities & achievements:- Internal communications - Writing, proof reading and editing copy for Trust publications, the intranet, brochures, leaflets, e-bulletins, digital screens, advice documents. Making presentations on issues to staff, the local residents and other stakeholders- External communications & media relations - Briefing and escorting journalists/photographers/film crews around the Trust in line with Trust policy.
