Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to be in a career where I help others. As Executive Director of Rhode Island’s Cancer Coalition, I do just that. My passion for helping others rapidly grew during my internship at the Rhode Island Department of Health and the Partnership to Reduce Cancer in Rhode Island. After months of hard work and determination to support the organization and grow my skills as a public health professional, I was brought on full time. Five years later, I am still with the Partnership and have led the effort to grow the organization’s presence and reputation across the state. I have experience with navigating nonprofit ebbs and flows, cultivating collaborative relationships with the community, and executing an organization’s mission and vision through implementation of a strategic plan. The intersection of my drive to succeed and desire to promote the health of our communities has led me to where I am today.
