During my senior internship I assisted with patient documentation, observed treatments and physician visits, and assisted with organization and sanitation of the athletic training facility. I shadowed the UH athletic training staff for full understanding of the full understanding of the five domains of athletic training: Injury and Illness Prevention and Wellness Promotion; Examination, Assessment and Diagnosis; Immediate and Emergency Care; Therapeutic Intervention; Healthcare Administration and Professional Responsibility.

Played in the Division 1 American Volleyball Conference, traveling to primarily urban metropolitan areas in the Northeastern, Midwestern and Southern regions of the United States. Committed to performing at a high level year round for conference play and off season training. Accustomed to performing in high pressure situations on a highly competitive team, representing the University of Houston. Able to balance academics, athletics, travel and community service throughout each academic year. Exhibited leadership skills as a core starter player since freshmen year. Adjust to changing schedules and challenging situations.

Legacy Community Health is a Federal Qualified Health Center, that envisions a health care system in which all patients’ basic resource needs are met as a standard part of quality care. As a Health Advocate, I worked one-on-one with patients to connect them to the heath resources to support their families.
