As a Technical Partner under Certified Nerve Conduction Technicians under the supervision of board-certified neurologists, neuro-radiologists, and neuro-pathologists, I helped provide neurological assessment, including EEG, EMG, and single-fiber EMG. They also provide neuromodulator injections such as Botox, Dysport and Xeomin. My responsibilities there included scheduling patients for neurodiagnostic procedures and getting required medical information; explaining procedures, alleviating fears, and eliciting cooperation. I prepared patients for tests to include cleaning, identifying the target area on their body, and preparing them for their EMG. I worked closely with the pharmacy regarding the neuromodulators; setting up the rooms and preparing the needles. I maintained the electrophysiological equipment, supplies, and performed quality control and analysis of the neurodiagnostic testing devices. My focus was to schedule the neurologists for inpatient and outpatient care with a concern for their patient’s cases and conditions through EPIC Cadence and Epic Care Everywhere. My responsibilities in this role included administering medications in a safe, accurate manner, recording and documenting the administration of medications. I also reported incidents, sustained knowledge of Resident Rights while maintaining patient confidentiality. I administered medications and treatments to assigned residents. Following all steps in administering medication under FAH policies and procedures related to medication administration, correct resident, medication, dosage, form, and time. Maintaining accurate documentation of all medications and treatments on assigned residents. I assisted with returning, destroying, and ordering medications, and performed audits for outdated medication and any projected shortage of medications or supplies. Made suggestions to resolve problems and streamline the EMR medication system. Assisted with transfers, ambulation, and toileting of residents frequently. Kept the medication cart clean and stocked with house medications, cups, straws, spoons, etc. Reported any change in the residents’ condition or other pertinent information to the Charge Nurse. Maintained constant communication with doctors, pharmacies, and drug management services.

In this role, I provided help with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing, assisting with food, performing errands, light housekeeping, laundry, and washing dishes. I had current knowledge of agency policy and procedures. Performed and recorded measurements (i.e. vital signs, or intake/output as instructed in the care plans).
