Oversee and manage sustainability of the eight certified Blue Zones communities in Southwest Florida.Leverage certification to engage larger organizations in community resiliency best practices and collaboration. Recruit and train employers to implement healthy worksite best practices to become Blue Zones Project Approved Worksites securing healthcare cost savings, heightened employee productivity, health, job satisfaction and retention.Provides educational outreach opportunities regarding employee health via podcasts, speaking engagements, community presentations, and published articles. Works with local government entities to influence and institute PSE changes for better community health outcomes including affordable housing, best practices for the build environment and mobility, food policy and access, and tobacco policy.Advocated for or implemented the adoption of 64 municipal policies in SWFL region.Facilitated the creation and implementation of the SWFL Regional Food Policy Council, Built Environment Committee, and Worksite Alliance.Collaborates with partners on grants and funding opportunities for regional PSE initiatives thus far resulting in $1.2 Million from organizations including FL Department of Economic Development Community Development Block Grant, USDA, and Aetna Foundation. Serves on Blue Zones National Health, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Workgroup.

Oversaw 120 staff, $2.1 million budget, all programming, billing, rentals, events, and safety compliance of four municipal aquatic centers. Served as an advisor and liaison for $4 million renovation of northern Colorado’s premiere aquatic center.Increased 2015 revenue by $96,000. Created Lifeguard Incentive Plan to secure fully staffed facilities with highly trained, professional staffCreated a new Learn to Swim curriculum and training program based on child development practices and parent surveys.Designed and implemented new Chlorine Gas safety training and protocol with Safety Security & Risk Management (SSRM), Operation Services, and Poudre Fire Authority. Developed facility replacement plans and building budgets that accurately reflect the funds needed to maintain facilities at World Class status.Initiated and commenced lobby remodels of two facilities within six months of promotionImplemented “real-life” scenario safety training with staff. Develop young staff into dedicated, competent employees with potential for upward mobility into full-time roles.

Proposed, received and administered approximately $630,000 in local, state and federal grants for the City of Fort Collins.Facilitated the grant requirements of the following organizations: Centers for Disease Control, National Recreation and Park Association, Colorado Department of Health and Environment, Livewell Colorado, and the Bohemian Foundation. Developed sustainability plans to continue grant based programs and project objectives post-funding. Doubled revenue and participation in direct program area from 2010-2012 while reducing expenses by 6%.While still serving as Recreation Coordinator, created a new fitness program and increased revenue by $10,000 in less than eight months (compared to 2012) by implementing new classes, instructors, and a more customer-friendly schedule. Moved Fitness into the top five enrollments on registration day for the first time in Recreation’s history.

Promoted programs, events, and amenities at the City of Fort Collins Recreation Department’s new Northside Aztlan Community Center (NACC) via press releases, feature stories, marketing materials and community outreach.Worked with teammates to increase attendance at NACC by 80% from June 2008-June 2009.Drove revenue through event sponsorships, corporate donations and community fundraisers resulting in a $65,000 increase for NACC programs from 2008-2009.
