I am the owner and self-taught baker and decorator at Quentin Confections. Quentin Confections is a licensed in-home bakery offering made-from-scratch items including decorative cakes, cupcakes, and pastries. This business began in the fall of 2020 and was grown solely from word of mouth and social media marketing. After leaving my marketing career (Marketing Assistant for IGI Global) over 10 years ago to start a family, I spent my time as a stay at home mom dabbling in small business opportunities, including holding a provisional patent for a baby product I self-engineered, the children's bottle clip. I also worked part time at Royal Oaks Golf club assisting in events, office administration, and marketing, leaving because of the pandemic and taking the leap into starting a baking business.
