Working on Low Voltage Energy Management System.

I performed Embedded software development for the Authentication and Keys Team. Software I have written is now running on over 4 million cars worldwide.Some of my accomplishments include:- Bringing up a new processor for Keys team single-handedly.- Developing state machine logic to detect presence of an NFC card between a phone and a wireless charger, which required integration of 4 separate microprocessors.- Identifying and resolving a hardware issue on the first revision of a new board in collaboration with the electrical design team.- Reducing the number of unintended opens on the charge port due to neighbouring charger handles in the area-Changing sleep conditions to allow security controller to sleep more easily to reduce passive energy use throughout the fleet.- Developing a system to measure vehicle sleep to fully awake timings for wake performance characterization.- Enhanced security by modifying auto present door behavior for keyfobs- Supported factory teams during prototype builds by implementing firmware change requests within tight deadlines.- Optimized OTA timings relating to BLE modules by fine-tuning parameters and testing performance.- Troubleshooting issues as they were discovered during integration including bootlooping, sleep issues, and unintended resets.- Writing clear and actionable customer-facing text to explain the state of the vehicle.- Collaborating with multiple teams including low voltage power, bootloaders, body controls, steering, factory firmware, platform infrastructure, and electronics & wireless design.

- Developed firmware upgrades for the radar system on the CP-140 maritime patrol aircraft using C++ and MATLAB. - Implemented an initial prototype of SAR image processing on a distributed, embeddedsystem.- Designed and implemented a radar emission emulation feature for the CP-140distributed interactive simulation improving training outcomes for the Royal Canadian Airforce.

- Led a team of 15 students to design and build a high-altitude balloon launched in August 2021.- Balloon achieved 34km of altitude in a 2-hour rise time and was successfully recovered after a 1-hour descent with a pre-deployed parachute.

Business organization of SFU Satellite Design Team, SFU Rocketry, SFU Astro Robotics, and Team Guardian.My responsibilities as an executive member were to assist with the management of the aforementioned teams and to work with them to secure workspace and funding from internal and external organizations. - Developed a daughterboard PCB to use the I2C interface for break-out to multiple sensors.- PCB development with tight area constraints of 3.23x2.30 cm.

Managed a team of 30 engineering students to design & manufacture a cube satellite.Negotiated an agreement with another student satellite design team to collaborate on a satellite going to space. Secured funding from a variety of sources both internal and external to meet projected expenses. Responsible for team promotion through presentations, educational outreach, and networking.

- Created design requirements for the telemetry of a battery management system and began preliminary implementation. - Designed schematic and layout of the first revision of a battery management system. - Performed a board review of a battery emulator PCB for rapid prototyping of the battery management system.

- Managed a small team of 3 on a rapid schedule to design an optical payload system for a cube satellite. - Performed extensive research on the use of optical systems in space- Created design requirements, prepared issues, and mentored new team members.
