Treat and evaluate students from grades K-5 at elementary school in general education classrooms and special education classrooms, such as autistic support, life skills, learning support, and multiple disabilities. Led committee of school faculty in the creation of sensory motor room as a student resource in same elementary school from January 2019-January 2020. Actively participates in district collaborative meetings with local Intermediate Unit for Early Intervention transition meetings for incoming Kindergarten students. Supervised Level 1 OTR student in January 2019-March 2019. Supervised COTA at middle school from September 2016-May 2017.

Most recently worked as per diem status for both inpatient and outpatient pediatrics. Treated children from birth-18 with various physical and developmental disabilities in an outpatient clinic setting and inpatient pediatric unit. Participated as part of interdisciplinary team of therapists, physicians, and dieticians to evaluate children with feeding concerns through Good Shepherd Pediatrics Feeding Clinic since December 2015. Completed and earned Kay Toomey's SOS Approach to Feeding training in January 2016. Completed foundational Kinesiotaping courses in Fall 2015. Led constraint-induced movement therapy group for school-aged children in post-stroke recovery. Organized and lead pediatric yoga programs for children 5-10 years old since Fall 2015.

Treated children ages birth-18 in an outpatient clinic environment with various diagnoses (i.e. Autism, Developmental Delay, cerebral palsy, etc.). Worked with children with sensory regulation and behavioral regulation disorders, as well as children with feeding concerns. Ran a social skills group for 3-4 year old children for 8 weeks. Supervised an OT Volunteer for 3 months. Completed initial evaluations, progress reports, discharge reports, and communicated with doctors/specialists about patient care.

Outpatient pediatric rehabilitation unit Treated children ages 0-18 with various diagnoses (i.e. TBI, apraxia, CP, autism, visual perceptual/visual motor deficits, feeding deficits). Co-led group sessions with OT, COTA, SLP, and PT for kindergarten readiness, social skills, and constraint-induced movement therapy. Co-treat clients along with speech therapy and physical therapy. Exposed to various assistive technologies, feeding protocols/evaluations, sensory integration, SIPT administration, FloorTime method, constraint-induced movement therapy, and interactive metronome. Observed in Early Intervention services, inpatient pediatric unit, and outpatient hand therapy.

Worked alongside Student Fieldwork Coordinator to process paperwork and site contracts, as well as contacting various managers or fieldwork supervisors for information. Gained skills in professional communication with healthcare professionals and worked in collaboration with peers and faculty members.

Led prospective students and their families on tours of campus. Hosted prospective students on overnight stays to observe student life.

Outpatient hand therapy and breast cancer OT treatmentTook an active role in physical treatment of patients ages 12 and older with various hand diagnoses (i.e. Carpal tunnel, trigger finger, ulnar nerve palsy, finger amputation, flexor tendon). Assisted in fabrication of hand/wrist/forearm orthoses and with researching evidence based practice to implement during patient care. Observed women ages 40 and older during physical treatment for post-surgical breast cancer procedures. Observed in the OR at a local surgi-center. Obtained knowledge in post-surgical hand treatment, various hand treatment protocols, and evidence-based practice.

Older Adult Behavioral Health Unit and Young Adult Behavioral Health UnitLead discussion and task-based treatment groups with the assistance of COTA for patients on two different locked, acute inpatient psychiatric units; ages 18-55 and ages 56 and older. Served as a Case Manager for up to 5 out of 15 patients on the unit and contacted/organized discharge planning with the patients and their families, caregivers, and/or placement sites. Oriented other level II OTS on the unit. Obtained skills in time management, independence, consulting patients and their families, and confidence.

Contacted community business owners to participate in the coupon book that would be sold as a fundraiser for education programs. Served as liaison for business representatives and KidStuff.
