I returned to my team as a full time employee and worked with them to successfully launch our product, the MV3 Bariatric bed. I spent a year following the product post launch, improving the manufacturability of the product. I gained my first patent in the scale design of this bed, and worked hard to design, test, and certify the new system.

Returning to the same project for my second internship, I was able to dive deeper into our products and create great relationships with my teammates. I had the opportunity to create a hydraulic system as part of a concept design initiative. I spent this summer gaining hands on knowledge with many different manufacturing processes.

In this role, I focused on learning about the design process by solving injection molded part concerns and helping to redesign the tooling. I improved my statistical analysis skills through stack ups and testing calculations. I was able to grow strong connections with coworkers across teams and specialties to learn quickly and make effective changes.
