About Megan Port

Does this sound familiar? You run a business so you can do what you are passionate about. Then you find yourself spending only a fraction of your time on the things that make your business unique and give you a strategic advantage, and so much time trapped in the grind of managing a business.Think of me as your own personal business ninja, working behind the scenes to leg sweep the hurdles that bog down your business and stop you and your team from thriving at what you do best. Together we can give you clarity on how to free up your time, get back to your passion, and run a streamlined business that plays to your strengths. With 20+ years of experience in corporate and management accounting, continuous improvement and process improvement, and then running my own small businesses and experiencing first hand the overwhelm of trying to do All The Things and wear All The Hats, I am bringing all these skills together to help other business owners succeed.Things that give me the biggest buzz:- Taking a big mess and turning it into something clear, precise, and pretty (whether that's a shambolic business process, a pile of receipts, a business budget, or a system trying to operate without the right tools)- Helping people see what matters most and fall back in love with their life and their purpose, by letting go of the chaos and hustle, and focusing on the things that matter.- Teaching and mentoring. I love sharing knowledge and helping everyone succeed together. I have the technical savvy (dux of my school, top of my university's Commerce department, merit listed through my Chartered Accountant qualification, plus dozens of other academic prizes and awards), but more importantly, I get on a very real level what the overwhelm of running a business can be like. And I'm passionate about freeing people from that. Your bottom line, your family and your sanity depend on it.Whether I'm taking care of your accounting for you, helping you understand the story your numbers are telling you, or helping you streamline your processes and systems so that they take care of themselves, my goal is always the same - do the ninja work behind the scenes so that you can focus on what you do best.If you're dropping balls, working too many hours, overwhelmed by the grind, and know you need help, reach out and we'll see if I'm the right ninja for your business!
