To whom it may concernMy name is Megan Ugolini and I am currently looking for a new challenge in the Hospitality industry.I am a qualified Junior Sous Chef, having obtained my International Professional Chefs Diploma thru Capsicum Culinary Studio some years back (qualified in 2010).I was initially employed at the Protea Group - Coloseum Hotel where I completed my SIX months in-service industry training before becoming a part of Greens Catering co. Both these periods of employment were on a contract basis to cover a very specific "busy" period.I am currently employed at the Blowfish Restaurant and have been with them since October 2010. Although I was employed to work in the breakfast department, I was given limited opportunities to "spread my wings". These opportunities include working in another department while fellow staff were on annual leave, baking cakes and cupcakes for weddings at the restaurant and baking breads for lunch and dinner service. I am also experienced in the dessert and cold lunches/larder section of the kitchen. In my private capacity, I have also been actively involved in the baking of wedding cakes, a variety of birthday cakes and special themed occasions (including cupcakes of different unique flavours). This has proved to be a BIG success and I continue to get regular orders for various private functions. I am being denied the opportunity to prove my skills and feel smothered in my current employment. I do not have any experience working on the grill, but am more than willing to learn and grow my skillset should the opportunities present themself. I am more than capable of running a section on my own and actively seek out ways of improving the areas under my supervision. Hope to hear from you soon.
