Veterinary Assistant
Provide assistance to veterinary technicians and veterinarians, greet patients and their owners, take pets' weight and other vital signs upon arrival, educate clients about pet wellness, monitor and care for animals after surgery, maintain and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment, clean and disinfect cages, kennel, and examining and operating rooms, help provide emergency first aid to sick or injured animals, give medication or immunizations that veterinarians prescribe, collect samples such as blood, urine, or tissue for testing, perform clerical duties, comfort and restrain pets during examinations and care.
