Presents LWC programs and incentives in forums such as LED CEO Roundtable events, BRAC Industry forums, SBDC webinars, as well as in-person and virtually with individual employers.Works closely with stakeholders such as LCTCS, American Job Centers, Urban League of Louisiana, chambers, economic development entities, to improve the future of employers and job seekers in the state of Louisiana.Facilitates the expansion, retention and diversification of job seekers of Louisiana-based manufacturers, other industries and small businesses through the utilization of incentives and other business development programs and/or employee training while remaining in close, continuous contact with these industries before, during, and after LWC programs are successfully completed.Assists with layoff aversion by helping place employees of shuttering companies with new employment opportunities.Partners with local Workforce Board Directors, Local Area Coordinators, other Industry Sector Specialists, Business Service Representatives, Veterans Representatives, and LRS throughout the state to develop regional sector partnerships.Serves as an advocate for all LWC programs with business, industry, and other community-based organizations by participating in a variety of outreach programs.Seeks out employment opportunities including, but not limited to, private businesses large and small; Chambers of Commerce; public employers such as the federal and state sector, including federal contractors; temporary staffing agencies; unions; job posting websites, etc.Conducts training seminars for employers on recruitment, Registered Apprenticeship, Work Opportunity Tax Credit, Fidelity Bonding, Incumbent Worker Training Program and other LWC programs.Seeks out the needs of employers in industry sectors and creates new training programs, as needed, to help with workforce needs.

Coordinates all events and manages eQHealth's sponsorship, exhibition and attendance at national government and commercial conferences. Oversees the copy/review process, which includes reviewing all external facing documents, brochures, webinars, videos, press releases, newsletters, white papers, social media and web content. Provides guidelines to employees for review, approval and distribution of customer facing sales, marketing and educational materials for eQHealth commercial products. Researches competitors and maintains a database to provide strategic marketing information to upper-level management and sales team. Implemented a Voice of the Customer program to measure customer satisfaction and engage in market research for future company endeavors.

Communicates past, present and future projects to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Planned and executed the 2012 and 2013 Medicare Quality Summits. Assists Associated Medical Director in educating providers statewide.Lobbies Louisiana legislature for quality improvement initiatives. Creates and edits presentations, newsletters, news releases, provider success stories, etc. Recruits physician reviewers for Medicare case reviews. Recruit and maintain database of physician members, a requirement of CMS. Orients new employees to all communications processes and procedures. Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve service, work processes and financial performance. Assists in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.

Wrote and edited media advisories, press releases, talking points and newsletters. Controlled and edited all web content for the Louisiana Department of Insurance. Worked on statewide marketing campaign for LATIFPA and SHIIP. Responsible for all social media for the LDI. Responded to media requests for the agency and Commissioner of Insurance. Planned and executed press conferences for the Commissioner of Insurance. Responded to all email inquiries from the public. Edited and compiled all information for the Annual Report. Answered all inquiries from “Ask the Advocate.” Wrote articles for both quarterly employee newsletter and annual report. Acted as a liaison between media and LDI deputies. Coordinated with LDI departments on public outreach campaigns. Reviewed, edited and disseminated publications for all LDI departments. Extensive emergency preparedness and response experience: Trained at the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness in preparation of hurricane season. Participated in mock hurricane exercise.
