I love news and telling stories. Through writing, editing and social media management, I create interesting, newsworthy content that spans multiple platforms and encourages audience engagement. Currently, I work as an audience engagement editor for VERIFY, a fact-checking initiative from TEGNA, a media company that owns about 60 local television stations nationwide. My responsibilities for VERIFY include editing multiple stories a day for verifythis.com and all TEGNA station websites. Accuracy and transparency are critical to VERIFY's mission, and I take seriously my responsibility to fact-check our stories and provide constructive revisions for the reporters and writers on the team. Additionally, I help shape our social strategy and proofread every social media post published by VERIFY accounts. I enjoy the opportunity to connect with out viewers and build loyalty through trustworthy reporting that dispels misinformation. My work on VERIFY's Snapchat show was recognized as an honoree by the Webby Awards. Additionally, my past stories at TEGNA have received three nominations and one award from the competitive Capital Emmys.
