As an experienced educator at Good Shepherd, I have had the opportunity to teach across various academic disciplines, including Engineering Design, Creative Industries, and Business Investigations. However, my passion and enthusiasm for the Humanities is evident to both my peers and my students. I have channeled my energy into expanding my knowledge in this field through engagement with colleagues, professional development training courses, and experimentation with new approaches in the classroom. In addition, I have provided support to the outgoing Learning Area Coordinator by acting as Team Lead for Year 8 and Year 9 Individuals and Societies, and providing accessible work for relief staff members.

I have been contracted to develop the content for multiple degree programs as well as for higher certificate and diploma courses. This work included the development of learning material, active learning questions, practical classroom activities along with formative and summative assessments. During a period of leave from Good Shepherd due to visa constraints, I worked as a relief teacher at the Tivendale campus for the Top End School of Flexible Learning. The school aims to provide “a supportive environment for young people who are finding their educational journey a challenge” and this was achieved through acknowledging student trauma while focusing on building their confidence in their studies. During my time at this campus, I supported the full-time staff through:• Assessment of students’ mathematical levels to provide suitable curriculum interventions• Planning differentiated maths lessons (and games) for small groups in larger group setting • Presentation and engagement with students using Macquarie Literacy Program• Development and presentation of world history lessons at appropriate literacy and developmental levels• Supervision of students during external presentations, lessons and workshops

Vega Learn is an online learning environment which has been designed to use an activity-based approach to learning. As the Durban Campus VegaLearn Champion, I am involved in training and supporting both lecturers and students on using the platform to its fullest potential throughout the year.

Formula D interactive is a company invested in creating interactive digital experiences that go beyond entertainment, building museum installations using Kinects and wall projections, educational mobile games focused HIV awareness, as well as web applications exploring concepts like neuropsychology, as examples. My roles and responsibilities at Formula D have included:• Research for interactive experiences• Marketing copywriting in the form of press releases, sales and newsletter emails, website content, opinion pieces and social media posts• Marketing strategising, management of digital platforms, online advertising and reporting• Content management and copywriting for client projects• Serious game design for clients and proposals• Project management and project proposal work

RetroEpic Software is an independent game development studio creating both its own titles as well as producing games for clients. While my role at the company initially focused on marketing and PR, I soon took on additional roles in support of managing the studio. While the focus of my role at Red & Yellow was on ensuring great learning experiences for our online students, I also used my time to deliver course material in lecture formats and improve various internal processes to streamline our workflow. My responsibilities include:• Managing our largest online digital marketing course (150+ students)• Putting forward innovative ideas for course delivery and implementing these• Simultaneously managing and reporting on multiple short courses • Training new additions to our Course Coordination team• Marking and moderating assignments• Streamlining bulk student communication• Working together with the digital art lecturer to create and present a course on game design
