In October 2021 I embarked on a minimum 10 month journey of living and working in Japan. I knew that I was placed in Oita Prefecture and that I would be working at 9 different schools. Those schools ended up being 3 junior high schools where I assisted in all grades, 4 elementary schools where I assisted primarily with 3rd through 6th grade, and one alternative school where I worked with students to encourage cross-cultural competency. Both inside and outside the classroom I was able to use and improve my Japanese language abilities, and sat for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) level N3 in July 2022. • Produced relevant worksheets, activities, and PowerPoints or Keynote presentations to aid in English language acquisition • Consulted with other teachers and staff to delegate classroom responsibilities and effectively prepare for class• Encouraged students to use the English they know to communicate versus worrying over complex syntax • Fostered cross-cultural exchange through game play, presentations, and conversation with students, staff, and community members • Founded a community based, weekly language exchange event with other foreigners in town, centered around speaking in English for half the session and Japanese for the other half. I led multiple sessions in both English and Japanese. • Digitized all worksheets and activities so that those who take over my position have a roadmap of what to do and a solid base from which to draw ideas from• Demonstrated flexibility and quick-thinking to adjust lesson plans due to changes in school schedule• Proven ability to communicate with others from various linguistic backgrounds and overcome language barriers

• Managed accounts payable, including monthly billing and payroll with QuickBooks• Resolved customers concerns, maintained the schedule of service calls and designated assignments• Prepared monthly unions reports, project reports, and contacts lists with Microsoft Office

I was honored to participate in the opening of a new Club Fitness location. The largest location at the time of opening, it also served the largest Kids Club - a place for children to learn and play while their guardians workout. Kids Club was developed in partnership with Brain Balance to provide activities that stimulate brain activity, and get kids thinking. • Supervised up to 30 children under 12 years old with other teammates, promoting imaginative play to aid in brain development• Cooperated with other team members to ensure a safe, clean environment for members

Missouri Scholars Academy is a three-week academic residential program for 330 of Missouri’s gifted students between the summer of their sophomore and junior years of high school held at the University of Missouri - Columbia. I attended the 2013 Academy and was excited to return to participate as a Resident Assistant in June 2017 and 2019. • Mentored a group of 20 girls through daily meetings and check-ins • Implemented curriculum aimed at developing emotional intelligence among 20 rising juniors • Encouraged students through 15-hour days by maintaining a highly energetic, positive outlook• Coordinated with other RAs to ensure enforcement of proper attendance, curfew, and behavior

As an intern with the Flying Aces I assisted in both game day operations and front office tasks such as ticket sales and media promotions. • Researched and executed marketing strategies – themed game nights, in-game giveaways, ticket packages• Strengthened community relations through standardizing donation request fulfillment• Developed creative skills through in-game media – live Tweeted games, edited video recaps, proof read press releases• Supported in-game promotional activities through teamwork with other interns
