Recruiting, reviewing, and placing volunteers for social justice causes and organizations.

I came back to CADC after my previous campaign, summer of 2021, was finished. This cycle, I am working in hiring across the country. This includes prospecting organizer candidates to recruit, screening applicants, conducting interviews, writing reports, collecting and managing data. Much of what I do is explaining what a typical field office might look like, what an organizer's day might look like on the ground, as well as our progressive values and our partner organizations.

This was a Planned Parenthood campaign in conjunction with the City of Detroit to encourage folks to get Covid-19 vaccinations, and to provide information about where and how to get one in the city, as well as explain the city's incentives. I helped open the original campaign office, move to a different office, and closed it down at the end of the campaign, coordinating what to do with office supplies and electronic technology.I was one of two deputy canvass managers, we lost the other.When the canvass manager resigned, the state director and I shared her responsibilities. I recruited, trained, and managed 10-15 canvassers. Cut turf using VAN, managed data and quality control, collected stories for PPAM and COG upper management. We received a few extensions on the project.

mobilized Georgia voters to vote in the runoff election for Ossoff and Pastor Warnock mostly by phone-banking, also informed and encouraged folks to join Working America and enjoy the benefits it provides to folks without union representation in particular

Calling across the country in important swing states, on behalf of the League of Conservation Voters and New American Jobs Fund getting out the vote, engaging with voters about important Senate races and the Presidential race.

Helped launch a new jazz club, I wrote the bar menu and used premium ingredients. I developed a great bunch of regulars and helped launch jazz brunch. We were the post-city council spot. I wish I could have stayed longer but my son was born in 2018!

Helped manage a busy cigar bar including assisting in hiring, training new employees, developing cocktails, organizing special events, ordering wine, beer, and spirits. Bartending busy, high-volume nights while multi-tasking. I was part-time for some periods (only working football Sundays by myself or coming in the morning and took some time off for various reasons (like my daughter being born). On March 14, 2015 at 20 weeks, I almost lost the baby and came back only for football Sunday with my regulars in the fall after she was born.During Golf Season for some of the years, I would take time off to manage the golf course, where I worked until she was born.

I loved the golf course - I wrote menus, ordered the food and alcohol, hired staff, organized events, outings, and fundraisers. I worked until my daughter was born July 13.
