Student, dedicated, hard-working, fun, driven, family. These are just some of words that I would use to describe myself not only in the work place but also in everyday scenarios. Currently a student at Indiana University, I have the hopes of pursuing my lifelong dream of becoming a doctor. I have been immersing myself in the public aid and care environment for as long as I have been able to do so. My work with Changing Footprints to collect and distribute shoes to countries in need as well as working with Timmy Global Health to help create sustainable healthcare in developing countries has given me the ability to truly understand the disparities in the world. With this mindset, I have set out to help combat these disparities and also use my Spanish to better integrate and understand the hispanic community and their healthcare needs. As a very goal-oriented individual, I pride myself on my ability to complete tasks and organize events in a timely and successful fashion, which has led me to historically posses leadership positions. My attention to detail allows me to create meaningful projects. Additionally, my view of the world as an ever-changing and diverse place grants me the ability to approach situations differently. Moreover, as an operating member in the community, I have demonstrated an active engagement in its well-being.
