I started on this amazing journey with all things digital back in the hay-day of 1999. How times have changed! How it started: graphic and print design to web design; how it's going: Director of UX at a global enterprise cloud software company. Creating connections across teams is KEY! What makes me different?Life will always throw rocks, it's how you catch them and use them to strengthen you that makes all the difference in the world. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Don't ever stop learning! I have been known to be incredibly resilient amongst tremendous change. Practicing gratitude daily and staying grounded with kindness and humility help to keep my lights on. I continue to learn what being a good leader means and how to exercise that. What I treasure the most is building strong relationships, empowering others, visual and interaction user experience design, design thinking workshop facilitation, problem solving, risk taking, team building, and trying to make you laugh along the way. I'm not one to sit quiet in the corner. I'll challenge you/the product/the business as much as I like to be challenged. My inspiration:People. Simple as that. I don't care who they are; could be the homeless person on the corner, the cashier at the store, the engineering director, or the crappy boss I had years ago. I love them all and each one comes with a perspective and insight into this human journey.

Director Of Product Design, Citrix BuCloud Software Group Jan 2023 - PresentI oversee the entire product portfolio and global design team. As a Citrix champion since 2010, I have seen, experienced, and influenced a tremendous amount. Since going private a couple years back and managed under private equity, I've had the pleasure of manager-led hiring (no talent acquisition), having direct reports of all levels from Senior Designer to Director and everything in between, held a seat at the leadership table to drive the roadmap and OKRs, socialized our UX foundation to drive our strategic 2024 goal for a unified platform experience, and bridged the gap between our India-based and US-based design teams to foster a stronger sense of collaboration and team unity. My biggest accomplishment this year has to be our UX Summit that brought in nearly 2 dozen members for a week-long innovative and exciting time that generated a lot of buzz in the organization. The outcome was that 17 engineering teams across the globe came together to launch our unified navigation structure and completely revamped Cloud home page before the fiscal year ended, and on time. This was a HUGE deal. Alignmnent, commitment, planning, and execution married perfectly with top quality design expertise cretaing a beautiful symphony of work perfectly orchestrated. Not an easy thing to do! Looking forward to continuing to push the needle across the portfolio to unify and integrate our best-in-class IT software for on-premises and cloud environments for both our admins and end-users, and evolving our designers to produce their best work yet.

Senior Manager, Product DesignCitrix Oct 2020 - Jan 2023Fort Lauderdale, Fl, Us -
Manager Of Product DesignCitrix Oct 2016 - Oct 2020Fort Lauderdale, Fl, UsI am responsible for managing the design team that drives the customer journey for the Citrix Cloud platform and core services. From our partners, our customers (internal and external), our customer admins, and our end-users, my team helps craft their experience from awareness through advocacy. I tend to be a bit of a rule-breaker and always strive for trying new and different things, and I know when to take risks. It's my passion and duty to learn, understand, collaborate, compromise, empower my team, support, encourage, persuade, educate, and have fun working with teams across all functions to build the world’s best integrated technology services for secure delivery of apps and data – anytime and anywhere.I was part of team who won Citrix's Lean Innovation Challenge (Cloud Service Broker) in 2016, a 3-month intensive program dedicated to learning, collaborating, designing, investigating, and researching an idea that would help drive our partner business while greatly improving the service provider experience at Citrix. After being chosen to continue with the proposal, the team was dedicated to implementing this experience and making this a reality for our partners. I have completed the "Leading SAFe" training at the beginning of 2019, which helped me gained the knowledge necessary to help lead a Lean-Agile enterprise. Over the course of the year, the Product Design team has indicated several ways how design should be part of a SAFe rollout in a largely engineering-heavy company. Continually advocating for design, research, and building the culture around data-driven design decisions has helped us create big impacts within the organization to raise awareness of the need for design to be a part of initial discovery and validation of new features that ultimately help to create the roadmap. An ongoing transformation in how we have traditionally done work here, it has been an exciting journey we've been on. -
