I am an Organizational Development Consultant for Leadership in the Leadership Recruitment & Talent Management department in Human Resources & Workforce Wellness. I provide assertiveness coaching and consultative services to leaders at LHSC. As Training Manager at Terrence Higgins Trust Scotland, I oversaw the design and delivery of exceptional accredited HIV training. The courses I designed featured strong learning design principles, cutting-edge research, and an engaging facilitation style that led 98% of all participants to rate themselves "very satisfied." While managing the Learning Centre I designed 11 courses and delivered bespoke workshops to over 500 health care providers across Scotland - helping them confidently apply new knowledge in their work, for the benefit of patients and clients.While in my role I:- Designed and delivered workshops and accredited courses on HIV and Hepatitis C prevention, testing and treatment to over 500 health care providers and front-line workers - Demonstrated outstanding facilitation skills as 98% of participants rated themselves as being “very satisfied” with the courses.- Planned and led capacity-building sessions - for example on sexual health and older adults - Built partnerships with national bodies (Royal College of Midwives, Royal College of Nurses, Alzheimer Scotland) to develop new virtual and in-person training (Women & HIV, Trans* health, Sexual Health & Dementia) - Built local partnerships to improve sex workers’ access to services- Developed learning products, including assignments and learning materials- Set learning objectives, created evaluation tools, collected evaluation data- Managed the Learning Centre

As Knowledge Exchange Project Officer, I managed multiple, concurrent European Union projects to support lifelong learning across Europe with budgets in surplus of $2.5 million. In this role I managed risks, resolved issues and initiated corrective actions as appropriate, oversaw all project work to ensure quality and timely completion of deliverables and presented findings to high-level members of the European Union. My teams were complex and diverse, with partners in organisations throughout Europe. Through writing bids and building partnerships, I also successfully procured new funding for the organisation in excess of $2 million .In this role, I:- Managed European Union projects to support lifelong learning and knowledge exchange on adult education across Europe- Collaboratively developed e-learning activities, online modules and an e-platform to increase older adults’ employability in the ICT field- Managed a diverse team with partners across Europe, while working collaboratively and navigating issues such as cultural differences and language barriers- Conducted research, wrote literature reviews, edited work and assimilated a large quantity of diverse information while translating this information into learning materials, workshops, virtual platforms and public speaking events- Fostered cross-disciplinary partnerships and co-wrote 7 new project proposals in a year, successfully bringing in $2 million of project funding

In this role, I built capacity and strengthened partnerships among community-based organizations to respond to women’s HIV-related needs by strengthening policies, programs and services. Strategies included community education, research & advocacy, social media & traditional news media, workshops/webinars, presentations and committee & advisory board work.My duties grew progressively in the organization to include the hiring and direct supervision of staff, the management of project budgets and funding reports, and media contact. I started in the organization as the Positive Prevention Coordinator (2009-2012). In this role I designed and led programming to strengthen the health and wellbeing of people living with HIV. I used an asset-based approach, facilitating training and providing one-on-one mentorship to build capacity. Highlights of my work include:- Designed and delivered education to front-line staff working with people living with or affected by HIV (webinars, workshops, multi-media tools, infographics, toolkits)- Developed and led workshops and training courses for people living with HIV and Hepatitis C- Developed sexual health resources (such as training manuals, a smart phone app, a photography book and other educational materials) - Facilitated community education through social media, news media (newspapers, television and radio) and public speaking events.- Built partnerships with healthcare and social services, for example to improve access to PEP among sexual assault victims and to increase availability of gender-neutral washrooms- Principle Investigator for two community-based research studies (Sex workers’ access to HIV prevention resources; Sexual intimacy & HIV).- Administered and evaluated the program; managed four budgets; wrote funding reports.- Supervised Health Promotion staff- Wrote 6 successful funding applications.- Presented research findings at conferences & to stakeholders and at IAS AIDS 2014.
