Megan Dykeman, is the BC NDP candidate for Langley-Walnut Grove. She is running for re-election after serving as MLA for the riding of Langley East from 2020-2024. During her term as MLA, Megan served as the Parliamentary Secretary for Community Development and Non-Profits, mandated to support and engage charitable organizations and non-profits, by acting as their advocate and key point of contact within government. Prior to being elected as MLA in 2020, she served as Chair of the Langley Board of Education, elected 3 terms to the board from 2011-2020 as a Trustee. She is passionate about creating positive social and economic impacts for her constituents and the Province. Ms. Dykeman graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2003, where she studied Farm Business Management, with a major in Agricultural Economics and a minor in Marketing. She completed a BPA, Governance, Law and Management with a concentration in Global Political Economy, graduating with honours in 2014. In 2016 she completed her Masters of International Relations with distinction.She also holds a certificate in Negotiation and Leadership from Harvard Law School.She has over 10 years of experience in governance, strategic planning, project management, marketing, and PR for large complex projects, as the Managing Director of Strategics Canada, a boutique consulting firm.
