Systematically surveying and patrolling deer fawning sites during the fawning season (June). Working as a team we would find fawns in the long grass, process them (sex, parasites, tusks assessment, snout length, leg length, weight, age, ear clipping) and then tag them. This work involved methodical and precise processes. Walking as a single unit and communicating silently and swiftly when a fawn was found. Team work and animal handling skills were the most important tools needed for this job.

Volunteered in a Jungle Conservation programme in the Amazon Rainforest, Peru.Work involved included: fundraising, intense and precise planning, trail maintenance, reforestation, teaching English and general protection of the rainforest.
