Each year, the UN Conference of the Parties (COP) holds its annual Climate Change conference in a different city around the world. The conference builds on interdisciplinary communication by inviting different universities, students, business leaders, NGO's, heads of governments, and activists to discuss one of the most important topics facing us today: the climate crisis. The University of Connecticut sends a group of fellows to the conference where they are able to gain a unique perspective on global climate change, policy, and decision making. Fellows are selected through a highly competitive application with rigorous academic standards, involvement in the community, and a critical thinking essay.
