The Center for Applied Environmental Law and Policy (CAELP) looks for creative, effective, and workable solutions to energy and environmental challenges. Hope’s Harvest RI mobilizes volunteer "gleaners" to rescue surplus food from local farms and distributes it to local hunger relief agencies, addressing the twin challenges of food waste and food insecurity while strengthening the local food system.In my consulting role, I assessed existing communications and fundraising efforts and identified strategies to increase awareness and support; co-developed and designed the organization's first strategic plan, impact report and printed annual solicitation; and created style and branding guidelines and other graphic elements.

The Roger Williams Park Conservancy was founded to serve as a steward for the long-term sustainability of Roger Williams Park and its enjoyment by the community.As the Conservancy’s inaugural leader and staff member, I built infrastructure, developed and implemented policies and procedures, guided strategic planning, ensured careful financial management, oversaw communications and fundraising, and directed all of the organization's operations and programming. – Finance: implemented accounting systems and internal controls, developed operating budgets, and guided organization through a 3-year audit and tax filings – Fund development: oversaw individual giving, wrote grant and sponsor proposals, and directed all aspects of annual fundraiser – Communications: developed and managed content for website, social media and newsletter and designed print and digital collateral – Programming: planned, marketed and facilitated free community activities and events for diverse audiences, including films, concerts, hikes and walking tours; engaged over 2,200 program participants annually
