Independently conceptualized, managed, and executed simultaneous scientific research projects in in vitro and in vivo models as well as in human tissue using a myriad of molecular biological, behavioral, histological, and unbiased computational approaches.Expert communicator to scientific and lay audiences; enthusiastic collaborator. Provided scientific, analytical, experimental, and intellectual contributions to 13 co-authored publications within and across multiple organizations. Independently conceived, executed experiments, analyzed data, generated text and figures for 2 first author publications with an additional 1 under review and 1 in preparation. Invited to give scientific presentations at local, national, and international meetings (20+). Annually invited to give presentations to high school students and Women in Science and Engineering groups since 2015.Cognizant of the discrepancy between the scientific understanding of neurodegenerative disorders and the needs of the those living with these disorders, motivated by a relative’s diagnosis and subsequent passing from Parkinson’s disease dementia.
