Within this small Perth marketing consultancy, I would often take on the role of ‘outsourced marketing manager’ for our clients. This involved working on a wide range of digital initiatives, including web development and management, CRM implementation and management, email marketing, SEO and paid search campaigns and adhoc marketing activities. I would act as project manager, coordinating work between designers, developers, copywriters and the client.

As the Global Marketing Manager for Perth-based scale-up AI innovation company, VROC, I was responsible for all facets of the companies marketing and communications. This included brand management, product marketing, social media management, search engine optimization, paid advertising, PR, event management, email automations and technical content marketing. In an industry that was rapidly evolving, it was necessary to regularly review our product and marketing strategy, along with market competitors to ensure our product offering and messaging were resonating with our target market. This lead to the expansion of the product line, and a refining of our target audience.

As a digital strategist my work included analysing clients existing digital marketing efforts and recommending improvements. A full 360 review would consider their website, EDMs, social media, SEO, SEM, owned content and take into account competitors and brand perception. Recommendations would then be implemented by myself and my team. The role included resource allocation and overseeing the general day-to-day running of the Virgin Media creative and design department. The department was made up of one creative director, four associate creative directors, eight to twelve Art Directors and Copywriters, and a team of four designers.
