As an Associate Program Director at Critical Mass I helped lead our team of producers on one of the largest accounts at the agency in delivering a high volume of fast-paced digital projects. I supported the account from an operations standpoint to ensure that we had the right teams, resources and strategies to achieve what we needed to achieve each fiscal year. Working with multiple disciplines such as Creative, Strategy, Tech and Marketing Science, we delivered large scale, multi-agency digital campaigns and supported our client's overall digital presence. The digital world changes quickly so we made sure to invest time in new ways of managing digital assets, our workflows and the efficiency and quality of our delivery and creative reporting capabilities. My other major role is providing mentorship and leadership to my direct reports as well as other Producers within the agency. I value great mentorship myself and look to provide the same steady and level-headed guidance to people as I have been lucky enough to receive throughout my career.

During my time as a Senior Project Manager at Klick Health, I was intimately involved with the entire life cycle of the projects that I worked on. From estimation through to closing out the financials, I had a hand in everything along the way. I had the opportunity to run projects where we designed and built mobile apps, banners, websites, emails, RM strategies, brand planning and more. The client base at Klick is primarily comprised of pharmaceutical and biotech companies which creates an interesting intersection between the heavily regulated world of pharma and the creative and expansive world of tech. We worked with our clients to aim to find the balance between creating a captivating piece of work that still followed the very strict rules of disclosure that apply. This added an extra layer of complexity from the client service and project management points of view as timelines, scopes and budgets could quickly creep. Our clients relied on our expertise to know where the sweet spot is between pushing the envelope and following the rules.

Working on the trading floor at Scotiabank provided me with not only an amazing view from the 68th floor, but more importantly, an opportunity to further hone the skills I had picked up over the previous 8 years at another bank. Life on the trading floor isn't quite how it's portrayed in the movies. There are certainly days where it's close when a big piece of news hitting the market sparks the hubbub, lights up the many screens and turns up the tension. However there are also more subdued days, where you find yourself reading every bit of market news, getting creative to be able to mine out any tiny nugget that you can share with your clients and differentiate yourself from all the other institutions contacting them that day.I ran a portfolio of institutional clients in the short-term fixed income market. My goal in running the portfolio was always two-fold as I strove to make my clients happy, but also helped manage the positions or risk we were holding as a bank. I also provided market commentary, always trying to give my unique viewpoint, and generated trade ideas to spark activity and earn profit.

Managed a portfolio of commercial clients in the foreign exchange space. Provided advice and foreign exchange products to help manage their overall FX exposures.

Our desk served the Canadian and US retail network as the central hub to process trades for large foreign exchange conversions and for precious metals purchases by consumers. In serving our branch partners, we had to learn to act quickly to secure rates, but also to take time to teach them about the foreign exchange market so they could serve their clients effectively while also protecting the bank's risk and revenue.I eventually took over managing our Precious Metals inventory and risk positions. As part of this position I took a lead role in expanding the business model for TD's Foreign Exchange and Precious Metals centres and vaults to include locations in Vancouver, Ottawa and Edmonton.

I was responsible for independent price verification (IPV) for the Equity Derivatives trading business which allows the bank to monitor it's overall position and report to regulators that undue risk is not being taken. As part of this monthly process I analyzed results of all re-valued parameters and identified any anomalies versus our benchmarks. Once identified I was in charge of compiling the final monthly report for presentation to upper management.Given the sheer volume of data that needed to be managed on a tight, month-end deadline. I took the reins on redesigning and rebuilding the application and the process used for IPV.
