Provide individual and small group tutoring to students (high school and college) in multiple subject areas including chemistry, biology, math, and physics. Assist students in improving academic achievement by meeting with them on a regular basis to clarify learning problems and work on study skills. Other assistance might include: designing curriculum and strategies for learning disabilities, reviewing and teaching class material, discussing the text, predicting test questions, formulating ideas for research papers, or working on solutions to problems.

Worked with varying viral agents to study their life cycles within a host cell. Used skills in such as PCR, gel electrophoresis, Western Blotting, Southern Blotting, protein analysis, spectrophotometry, cell and tissue cultures, ultra centrifugation and microscopy. Also familiar with APE program to create primers from genomic code for PCR. These skills are necessary in order to examine the attachment, gene expression, genome replication and virion assembly of the viral particles in question.

Perform duties that are instructional in nature and deliver direct services to students. Tasks include but are not limited to to following: discuss assigned duties with classroom professors and research staff in order to coordinate instructional efforts; prepare lesson materials and demonstrations; present subject matter to students under the direction and guidance of professors and research staff, using lectures or discussions; tutor and assist students individually or in small groups in order to help them master assignments and to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers; distribute tests and homework assignments, and collect them when they are completed; grade homework and tests, and compute and record results, using answer sheets or electronic marking devices; type, file, and duplicate materials; use technology tools with materials to supplement presentations.
