CurrentCommercial attorney supporting marketing, sales, PR, innovation, insights, ecommerce and demand-side procurement teams. Experience includes:• Drafts and negotiates a variety of commercial agreements - talent/spokesperson/influencer, music licenses, sweepstakes/contest rules, agency MSA and SOWs, consumer market research, ecommerce technology, sponsorships, joint promotions, NDAs, work made for hire, cause marketing and other ad hoc agreements.• Legal analysis of above the line and below the line advertising, marketing, and promotional brand campaigns including advertising clearance, point of sale, sweepstakes and contests, digital media engagement, ecommerce, direct to consumer, influencer, consumer offers, claim substantiation, cause marketing initiatives and sponsorship activations. • Collaborates with the company's brand, marketing and sales departments to assess business objectives and advise on legal risks.• Development of internal processes and guidelines for management of legal review.• Legal research and analysis in the areas of advertising and marketing compliance, claim substantiation and alcohol beverage trade practices.• Educates and trains the business on advertising issues and alcohol beverage trade practice compliance.• Analysis of new product development and product claims against regulations, regulatory enforcement actions, consumer class action litigation, assess risk and advise on adequate substantiation requirements for product claims.• Manages team of three legal support professionals• Serves as CBI representative to the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (self-regulatory industry body) Code Review Board
