I am committed to the collaborative development and implementation of innovative health care policy strategies and integration initiatives and to making those policy strategies and initiatives meaningful and effective for the individuals, families and communities they are meant to serve. My professional experience includes business development, grant writing, technical report writing and management of several government funded projects. I am experienced in opening and maintaining communication across diverse professional teams, focused on developing specific objectives. In my current role I seek out opportunities to expand treatment alternatives to meet the multiple needs of the patients we serve in an outpatient setting. I have experience developing recommendations as a member of a legislatively mandated review committee that examined the efficacy of accreditation for behavioral healthcare providers. Previously I worked with organizations exploring accreditation as a means to improve the quality of care they deliver and to expand the availability of treatment services. I have coordinated family navigators to work within their communities to promote medical homes and assist families in accessing care, treatment and services for their special needs children. I have worked as a state regulatory official and am familiar with state and federal regulatory processes and procedures to create, revise and implement state and federal policies and procedures. I also have a background in public health working in communicable disease prevention and control in federally funded STI/HIV prevention and intervention programs.
